Hi Margarita, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I’ve faced numerous obstacles and challenges throughout my life, but rather than fearing them, I’ve learned how to overcome and conquer them. I appreciate all the challenges I’ve faced as they pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to discover my true capabilities.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a multilingual realtor who has extensive experience and expertise in the field of commercial, residential and multifamily real estate. With my specialized knowledge, I am well-equipped to handle the complexities of this industry. Whether it is assisting clients in finding the perfect commercial property for their business or helping investors navigate through the multifamily market, I have a proven track record of success. I understand the unique challenges that come with commercial and multifamily real estate, such as zoning regulations, market trends, and property management. My in-depth understanding of these factors allows me to provide tailored solutions and deliver exceptional results for my clients. Trust me to be your go-to expert in commercial and multifamily real estate, and let me guide you towards your real estate goals.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Persistence is definitely one of the key qualities for success in the real estate industry. When you are a new agent, it can take a while until your first real estate transaction occurs and many agents feel discouraged and impatient. Sometimes real estate transactions don’t go as planned or take forever to close. Those factors discourage some of the agents and force them to leave the industry. Persistence is the driving force that pushes us forward even when we face obstacles or setbacks.
The next important quality in real estate is commitment to your goals. Consistently taking steps, even small ones, toward your goals builds momentum and leads to progress. Since most real estate transactions often take a long time from property searches to negotiations and closing deals commitment ensures you stay focused even during challenging phases. Commitment also helps you persevere through rejections, delays and setbacks whether it’s a rejected offer or a stalled negotiation.
The next important step is the in-depth market knowledge and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.

My recommendations would be to stay committed to your goals and to never give up no matter how hard it gets.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
The primary challenge that the real estate industry is currently facing is the upcoming implementation of a new real estate settlement which is set to take effect on July 1st 2024. Under the new settlement, sellers will no longer have to pay buyer’s agents commision, instead, buyers will be responsible for covering commission costs. Since the commission cannot be financed, buyers will need to come up with extra cash to cover the commission expenses. First time homebuyers will face significant challenges due to this which will potentially reduce the number of people who can afford to buy a starter home.
Fortunately, the upcoming settlement shouldn’t impact commercial and multifamily real estate. Given that circumstance, I indent to redirect my focus from residential to commercial and multifamily real estate.
